Our spirits are great for sipping straight or with just a little water.  However, they are also great in classic cocktails.  We have some unique character in our spirits that make some wonderful special drinks as well.

Basil-Lemon Smash

Ingredients

1.5 - 2 oz 1808 Gin
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1 oz simple syrup (but sweeten to taste)
8  fresh basil leaves

The Muddle way
Add lemon juice, simple syrup and basil leaves into a sturdy glass or bar shaker.

Muddle the leaves with a muddler or wooden spoon to crush the leaves and get some color in the mix.

Add simple syrup, Gin and ice.  Shake well.

Strain into an ice filled glass.

You can also add all the ingredients in the shaker and just shake the heck out of it and strain it into the ice filled glass.

Basil Lemonade

This is the party mix for the basil lemon smash.  Add 1 to 2 oz of 1808 Gin over ice in a rocks glass and top off with the basil lemonade.  Alternatively, add a little more Gin and top off in a larger glass.  Everything is to taste!

Ingredients

32 oz Organic Lemonade (the more real lemon the better)
1.5 - 2 oz fresh basil leaves (weight after large stems removed)
1/4 oz Simple Syrup (3 cups sugar to 2 cups water)

Combine all ingredients in a good blender or a food processor.  Strain to get the larger leaves out.  But hey, it's just basil so you can leave them in if you want.

The White Niagara

The White Niagara is a true farm to glass New York State cocktail.  It is simple to make and even easier to drink!

Ingredients

2 oz 1808 Silver Corn Whiskey
.5 oz NYS Maple Syrup (not "pancake" syrup)
2 oz whole milk

Combine and serve in a rocks glass.

Notes:
.5 ounce is equal to a Tablespoon.  This is a sweet drink, to reduce the sweetness, try it with a Teaspoon of Maple Syrup.
