1808 Gold Bourbon Whiskey is our finest barrel aged spirit. We believe that great bourbon comes from great mash, and ours starts with a mash of distillers malt and locally grown corn. These are painstakingly mashed by hand to convert the starches into sugars. The mash is fermented by a high quality whiskey yeast selected by us for its sweet ethanol and luscious fermentation profile. The mash is then carefully distilled in our American made copper stills and aged in small, new, charred, American white oak barrels. By starting with a high quality mash and distilled product we insure a high quality aged spirit.
We age our bourbon in small, hand crafted, charred, American white oak barrels. Making our bourbon in small batches and aging it in small barrels allows us to make you a hand crafted bourbon that has a depth of rich flavors that is reminiscent of big batch bourbons that are aged for several years. And as our distillery matures, we will be able to offer you older and older bourbon as we transition with time into somewhat larger barrels.
